Description
I am pleased to offer a stunning vintage  bone china cup and saucer set made by Aynsley, England
Beautiful large pink cabbage rose, rosebud and leaves on a soft sage green colorway
OBAN shape with fluted edges and slight vertical ribbed body and footed cup base
Dates from 1950s
Both pieces in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, damage, restoration and no crazing lines
One tiny scuff to a rib on the saucer, one pin prick size dot underglaze on outer edge of cup, one pin prick area missed on the saucer recess gold and a tiny pin head sized area of gold rub on the very top of the handle
Minor "flaws" considering the age
No wear to the floral transfer
Very bright surfaces
Both pieces pass the "ping" test perfectly
Cup measures 2 1/4" tall at sides (2 5/8" tall to top of handle) and entire cup is 4 3/8" across including handle; saucer is 5 5/8" across
Marked with older Aynsley crown mark in dark green and both pieces marked with pattern number 1494 handpainted in gold on cup along with decorator initials
Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash
